Our story
From a camera for hire
to a communication partner.
Pace Production started in Kigali in 2012 on the conviction that Rwandan stories deserved to be told by Rwandan crews. In the early years the work was what most people expect from a production company: turn up, film well, deliver.
That changed as the work got bigger. Covering the first African Drone Forum in Kigali in 2020 meant livestreaming, live feeds to screens in every room and content produced on demand through the day. By CHOGM in 2022 we were running five concurrent sessions. Clients had stopped asking us to record an event and started asking us to plan how it would be communicated.
Long-term relationships pushed us the same way. UNFPA from 2020, GIZ from 2022, four years with the Mastercard Foundation, AGRA from 2024, and Production Partner for the Africa Food Systems Forum. Work like that is not a shoot, it is a communication programme with cameras attached.
Today we build the message, design the story and produce it, with our own studio, licensed drone pilot, set design and build, and a full post suite in Kigali. We also provide crews and field production for CNN and Al Jazeera. The tools got better. The starting question did not change.

Story First
Every production begins with a clear narrative. We do not pick up a camera until we know the story we are telling and why it matters.

Communication Before Kit
A brief is a starting point, not an instruction. We ask who needs to hear this and where it will land, because the answers change the crew, the format, the set and the edit.

Rwandan Crews, International Standard
Built and staffed in Kigali, delivering to the standard international broadcasters accept. Both of those facts matter to us equally.
